FIN

It’s Better to Try and Fail Than to Have Never Tried At All. Cliche. But I have come to the point where I have already tried, and failed. MISERABLY.

I have never opened myself to someone as much as I did for this particular someone. Probably the reason why, at the aftermath of it all, I have never felt this much doubt on my self, either.

I have lost a great battle, but I want to keep my sanity, dignity and whatever little respect I have for my self, for the many wars ahead.

As the final drop of tears, about to leave my eyes, so are the dreams and all the what could have beens, left shattered by this tragedy.

Oh yeah, indeed, it is over...

Finally for the nth and definitely final time, Global Wiring is coming to an end. I want to preserve its value for whatever it means and not make this a grievance blog.

I will still be blogging, definitely a new one and won't be telling anybody about it.

MABUHAY pa din ang PILIPINAS!!! Because i will be healed

Bullet day, i will eventually be made...and surprise the world!!!

Til then,

Is it For Us?

Happy Independence Day.

Freedom.
Independence.
Happiness.
In no particular order, heard these words this day, more than ever before.
Heard, but not felt. Too close, i can smell its aroma.

Most of the time, we are prisoners of consequences. Oppressed by tyrants in various forms. Away from the happiness we all sought.

Everyday has become a struggle for independence, so it seems.
Every victory, calls for celebration.
Every defeat, causes frustrations and at times humiliation.

Yet we always choose to adhere, knowing that a million defeat is nothing compared to the feeling of achieving a single victory.

Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!!!

This year's theme song:

INDEPENDENCE DAY

If you disagree, I'd choose you over me
This way I'd keep the peace
Keep me inside, don't turn off the light
Cause without you how can I breathe

Independence day is not for me
When I'm bound to you I feel so free

Pretend that I'm a deer, travelling any year
I need you desperately
Night and day I roam you need to take me home
Cause on my own I can't see, yeah

Independence day is not for me
When I'm bound to you I feel so free
Independence day is not for me
When I'm bound to you I feel so free

Here are all my keys, enter as you please
North, south, west, center, east
Teach me not to hide in the deadly walls of pride
Speak to me gently

Independence day is not for me
When I'm bound to you I feel so free
Independence day is not for me
When I'm bound to you I feel so free

=Johnny's Cash=

The theme for the night would be something that Johnny knows best. Actually it was Trent Reznor's idea that was just popularized by the more "mainstream" Johnny.

Nonsensical again from yours truly. Gusto ko lang isulti na masakit pero kakayanin.
Being torn apart, any way you look at it will never be easy.
And so, may i call on Thom to finish this off...

Wake... from your sleep
The drying of your tears
Today.. we escape
We escape.

Pack and get dressed
Before your father hears us
Before.. all hell.. breaks loose.

Breathe... keep breathing
Don't lose.. your nerve.
Breathe... keep breathing
I can't do this.. alone.

Sing us a song
A song to keep us warm
There's such a chill
Such a CHILL.

You can laugh
A spineless laugh
We hope your rules and wisdom choke you
Now we are one
In everlasting peace

We hope that you choke.. that you choke
We hope that you choke.. that you choke
We hope that you choke.. that you choke

=One Rainy Sunday Afternoon=

Ok for something totally different.

Me and my cousins have been composing songs that would not make any difference to the world. These are the type of songs that you think are cute when you are at your teens (especially if you're the one who made it) but would find awful when you listen to it now. Not really serious but for the sake of fun and to spend time when we have nothing else to do. Usually products of many summers where most of us converge in our Grandparents house in Kidapawan. These songs are of course for private consumption only. Some where played after a certain radio program in Kidapawan is finished.

But by the power of internet we are reluctantly sharing to you a particular song, not really our best but we deemed if ever we are to release an album would be a market hit. (whew)
Composed around 2001 or 2002 (not really sure). This was during the epidemic added with love angle flavor.

We recorded this whole mess around 2 weeks ago. It also has a video, which no way on earth i will ever show. Credits goes to the ff:

Lyrics: Yong yong, Brenz, Leo
Music: Leo
Samok Crew: Jan2x, Bj, Tata, Kiko, Ken, Adette, Kwini
Mabuhay kayo

Enjoy if you can..........Warning: don't blame me if you've wasted 2 minutes listening to it

Just Because

Part of you life is in disarray if the end of optimism means survival.
As they say sometimes in order for the body to live, you have to cut some of its limbs. I understand both the literal and figurative sense of it as well as its symbolism.

The differential has took its toll. Indeed it is night and day. Nothing is lost if it is not there in the first place. Fell into the trap of thinking there is such. Believed it, felt it, lived it.

This whole cycle will never end. It will always come short. Eventually, really really short.

TIBUNGCO SUBSTATION ENERGIZED

Tapos na jud sya.
Thanks to all
Will be modifying this post some later time. Kapoi nako kkaayo as in.
Kailangan ko lang ma post today........

====modified April 04, 2008=============

Taken from an article highlighting the event:

Before the clock struck 5:30 pm on March 09, 2008, Tibungco Substation was energized, officially becoming the 22nd Substation of Davao Light. This project was launched as part of its Major Capex for the year on March 2007, with the objective of accommodating the load growth in the northern area and at the same time increases DLPC’s systems reliability. Its planning and initial design phase began as early as last quarter of 2006. Its construction however started only on May of 2007 as it has to hurdle many obstacles in order to commence.

Spearheading the project, on his baptism of fire as the project manager is AVP for Engineering Ronald Chan. He was ably supported by Planning and Design Engineer Leo Lungay of PSDD, who acted as the Project Engineer, with the highly revered Nick Rubia as consultant.

Assembly of Power Transformer as well as grounding works was done by Nanding Refuerzo, Lando Lucena and Ramon Escalante. Constructions were supervised by Lope Tingzon and Michael Hernandez. Relaying and Protection by Dindo Pantinople, Ryanel Pongos and Jonathan Medalla. Controls and Wiring by Joe Mascardo and Ben Castro with Allan Calag of PSDD. Taking care of civil works are Jesse Talavera and his ingenious crew of Civil Engineers, Hanford Menchavez, Oscar Amigleo, Rey Ann Montezo and Anchie Bacanaya. Support groups from departments such as PSPD, TND, MMD, TSD, ASD, SOD, PMD, MPD among others completed the cast.

This Substation which features a 33 MVA Transformer and introduced innovations such as the use of magnetic actuator mechanism for the circuit breakers and Pre-wired control panels.

The Tibungco Substation was inaugurated on March 29, 2008 in a brief but meaningful ceremony. It is now ready to serve our customers within the northern area of our franchise. Another testament of what we are capable of doing. A symbol of brighter things to come as we grow, as a whole.

===========================================================

Once again as this project comes to a close, I would like to thank everyone who've in one way or another contributed to our success. From my fellow Engineers down to manual labor enforcers.
My teammates ang Substation Design Team Pangkalawakan. Sa lahat ng na molestiya at nasugatan. More importantly to our God Almighty We give back the Glory to God.
Lastly, this is dedicated to you, you know who you are....

Salamat and Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!!!
